Part-Time Custodian

This position is responsible for overall cleanliness, upkeep and light maintenance of Paola City Hall
and Fire Station. This position may require some flexibility in scheduled hours but will average twenty-
one and one half hours (21.5) hours per week.

Minimum requirements: 
  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent 
  • General knowledge of cleaning and various light maintenance duties 
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral direction and  safety practices 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Pre-employment drug screening required 
  • Must pass criminal background check

Police Officer

The City of Paola has an opening for a full-time Police Officer. Starting salary range $36,067 to
$38,591 per year DOQ. Other benefits include sick, vacation and personal leave; furnished
uniforms and equipment; health, dental, and life insurance plans; and KP&F retirement.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age and a US Citizen.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
  • Must have no felony, serious misdemeanor or domestic violence convictions.
  • Must be able to pass written and oral board exam.
  • Must pass drug screen, physical fitness, polygraph and psychological exams.
  • Certified Law Enforcement Officers must not have any Brady/Giglio material in background to be eligible for hiring.
