The Paola Police Department is currently accepting applications for future police officer positions. The City of Paola is located 18 miles south of Olathe, Kansas and the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. The Paola Police Department consists of 15 sworn officers and 6 civilian employees as well as its own communications center. In January 2010, the department moved into the new Paola Justice Center which houses both the agency and Municipal Court.
Type: Full Time
Salary: Starting salary for certified officers is 32,000 to $35,000, per year. Possible increase DOQ. Other benefits include furnished weapons, equipment, uniforms, health, dental, life insurance plans and KP&F retirement.
Minimum Requirements: Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, good physical condition, no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, must possess a high school or GED diploma, and must be a US citizen. Must be able to pass a written and oral examination, drug screen and physical. Candidate must reside within a 30 minute response time within 6 months of hire.
