Police/Accident Reports
Obtaining Copies of Police Reports
Anyone can obtain a copy of a police report that has been filed with the Paola Police Department.  If the report is a general purpose report, no information can be obtained.  If the report is a Kansas State Offense Report, only the front page(s) will be available to the public.  If the report is an accident report, please contact your insurance company first to see if they have already requested a copy of your report.

Information Needed to Obtain a Report
Please provide the case number that you were given by the officer that took your report.  If unavailable, please provide the name of subjects involved, date of incident, and location where incident happened.  The more information you provide, the easier it will be to locate the report you need.

Fees and Availability of Paola Police Department Reports
There is a $5.00 fee for each report requested.  Payments accepted are cash, money order, checks, and credit/cards.  Checks need to be made out to the City of Paola.

Please allow 5-10 working days for traffic accident reports to be completed before copies can be available.  Other reports may not be available due to ongoing investigations.

Reports are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm in the Records Division of the Police Department.  For questions regarding how to obtain a police report or to check the availability of a report, please call (913) 259-3631.
