The Grounds / Parks Department provides all maintenance and mowing of city parks and facilities, as well as Lake Miola.
Lake MiolaThis approximately 725 acre area offers a variety of water sports, including boating, skiing, swimming, and fishing. Also available are camping and picnic areas, a playground and hiking trails.
Petroleus ParkA small neighborhood park that offers a small basketball court, swings and picnic tables.
Wallace ParkIn 1910 Wallace Park consisted of 12 acres; in 1912 an additional 30 acres was added. Wallace Park offers a variety of recreational activities including a playground, skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball, and softball diamonds. There are also picnic shelters, and the Paola Family Swimming Pool.
Whitaker ParkThis neighborhood park consists of approximately 1.96 acres and offers a playground, picnic tables, and a walking trail.
